If your knives and scissors are tired and worn out, don’t they deserve a vacation? Here is what they can expect from a visit to KnifeSpa™.

RECEPTION…

Your knives will be welcomed by our reception team, who will prep them for their appointment with the KnifeSpa™ technician. Although we ‘d love to offer them a robe and slippers, that might not be practical. In the prep process, for your protection as well as ours, we will photograph your knives for our records. We will document the brand, condition and any other pre-existing conditions. They will also be examined for any underlying issues that would somehow prevent the knives from advancing through the KnifeSpa™ process.

If such issues arise you will be notified via email.

REST ASSURED…

Cutlery privacy is very important at KnifeSpa™. We have an identification system in place that will keep your blades from mingling with other blades. So don’t worry, your knives won’t bring home any friends for dinner nor will they be helping prepare someone else’s meal in another State. Once your knives have completed their spa treatments, they will be escorted to our departure lounge where they will be checked in for their flight home, renewed, rejuvenated and re-sharpened! We will email you with their flight information when available.

SATISFACTION…

As Knifespa™ is a service, a unique one at that, it would be impossible to accept returns for Knife Sharpening of YOUR knives because…they are YOUR knives. Of course, we want you (and your knives) to be completely satisfied with the experience of using our service. If for any reason your knives complain that they were mishandled or mistreated at KnifeSpa™ and are not sharpened and serviced to your satisfaction, we will work to correct the problem. In the very unlikely event that your knives are damaged at KnifeSpa™, we will replace or refund you on a pro-rated basis, assuming the age and condition of the knives when they arrived. Our company combined with our well trained and experienced technicians have been involved in sharpening well over one million knives. Bottom line – we know what we are doing and your complete satisfaction is our goal.

MERCHANDISE RETURNS…

If you purchase merchandise from KnifeSpa™ and need to make a return or exchange, the following guidelines will assist you in expediting the process:

  • Returns with the original purchase receipt will be exchanged or refunded in the original tender.
  • Returns without the original purchase receipt will be exchanged or refunded at the current selling price.

All orders are packaged with care. However, should your merchandise order arrive in damaged condition or is incorrect or incomplete, please contact us immediately so that we can correct the situation as quickly as possible.

To return an item, please follow these instructions:

  • Complete the Return Form included in the package shipped from KnifeSpa.com In the appropriate box on the Return Form, indicate the reason for the return and the action to be taken, such as replacement, refund or exchange for item of equal or lesser value.
  • Place the Return Form in the box with your merchandise.
  • If you do not have your original invoice, please include a letter with your returned merchandise that includes the following information:
    • Your name
    • Address
    • Phone number
    • Order number
    • Item name/description
    • Reason for return (If item is damaged during shipment be sure to note that in this section of the return form.
    • Action to be taken (replacement, refund or exchange for item of equal or lesser value)

For your protection, please return all items via an insured shipping method such as UPS, FedEx, DHL or USPS. It is the responsibility of the customer to make sure that returned merchandise arrives at KnifeSpa.com in a satisfactory condition.

Shipping charges are not refundable except in the case of damaged merchandise. New shipping charges will be billed for exchange order.

Return Policy FAQs

How long will it take to process the refund?

KnifeSpa.com will refund your payment within 7 days of receiving the returned items. Exchanges will be processed with in 7 days. You will receive an email confirming the shipment of the exchanged merchandise. The email will contain your new tracking number and an estimated date of arrival.

If you do not receive an email within 14 days confirming the shipment of the exchanged merchandise, please call 1-888-KnifeSpa (564-3377).

I received my order, but the items were damaged. What do I do?

Damaged items will be exchanged at no cost. Please send an email to CustomerCare@ Knifespa.com immediately upon receiving the damaged item. In your email, please include the following information:

Your Name
Your Address
Order Number
List of damaged item(s)

Can I return or exchange any item I purchase on your site?

You may return all unopened/unused items within 30 days of receipt of the package. Damaged items may be exchanged for a new item. The customer must notify KnifeSpa.com of the damage within 2 days/48 hours of receiving the package.

MAINTENANCE…

Knife abuse is a serious problem in our society today. Knives can work for years and years, sometimes a lifetime without getting a break and some much needed pampering. Knives need to be re-sharpened and maintained in a proper way. This will give you, the owner, the real productivity for which the knives were originally designed. Knives should be maintained on a sharpening steel with every use. They should not be bathed in a dishwasher but gently washed in your sink and patted dry with a soft towel. In their off time, they should be housed comfortably such as in a knife block, in-drawer tray or on a magnet (exhibitionists by nature, they love to be kitchen art). You may even want to consider our velvet lined Bladepod™ edge protectors for luxurious comfort.

NEXT APPOINTMENT?

How often should my knives visit KnifeSpa? That answer can vary depending on your own usage. Don’t be fooled, right now, there is no such thing as “never needs sharpening”. Good knives, no matter how expensive, will need to be re-sharpened. Most home-users should re-sharpen every 4-6 months. Of course, if you are a “Rock Star” in your kitchen, it may be every 2-3 months. Conversely, if you love take out and only cook on Thanksgiving, you will need less re-sharpening. It is also a good idea to consider your cutting surface. Wood and rubber cutting boards are best. Glass boards and your granite counter top (although beautiful) are bad for your knives. In other words, you really don’t want to cut on a really hard surface, this will dull your edge. Lastly, but so very important, JUST SAY NO to electric knife sharpeners. Over time, they can harm your blades by burning the edge or even causing your knives to become misshapen. Keep your knives happy!

SALES TAX…

KnifeSpa™ is registered to collect sales tax for service and merchandise sold in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. All orders shipping to these states will be charged the applicable Sales Tax.

INTERNATIONAL…

Unfortunately, at this time, KnifeSpa™ services are only available to customers in the United States.
